My name is Roger Foote and I created this website to share some of my thoughts and experiences over the past years while using a pinhole camera. My first use of a pinhole camera was when I was in the Air Force in the 1960's.  We experimented with a pinhole camera on our off duty time just to see what we would get. I fell in love with the look of pinhole photographs at that time and have been building all forms of cameras since then. Some times going for a dreamy look, other times going for as sharp a photograph as I could get. I had been a professional photographer most of my adult life and at times have not had the time to devote to the art of pinhole photography as much as I would have liked. However, now that I am retired, I now have much more time to delve deeper into this art form.

On this site you will find some links to other sites that have been helpful to me in finding supplies, information and equipment. You will also find a gallery of some of the photographs I have made with a 4x5 wooden pinhole camera. You will also find on the download page plans for this camera as well as plans for some paper pinhole cameras.

Have fun, and enjoy a different form of photography. If you have questions, feel free to email me and I will do my best to help you or answer your questions.
